Janet Johnston of Thunder Bay, ON Wins $21,592!

Riverside Foundation for Health Care is excited to announce that the winner of the June Riverside 50/50 electronic raffle is Janet Johnston of Thunder Bay, ON with the winning ticket number I-5933003. Johnston takes home $21,592, with the same amount going to the Foundation. The draw was made Wednesday, June 30th at 11:00am in the Foundation Office.

Although Johnston resides in Thunder Bay, she has a cottage down Oak Grove Rd in Rainy River and was encouraged to purchase tickets since she spends time and has friends in the area. Having purchased since the first draw, Johnston stated that it was great to have contributed and even better to win, and will continue to support the raffle moving forward. Being in the middle of some landscaping projects, her winnings will be put to good use to help offset some of the costs of labour and materials.

Since November, the Foundation has given away over $200,000 in 50/50 prize winnings. That means over $200,000 has also gone to the Foundation for the purchase of medical equipment. Tickets for the July raffle are available tomorrow, July 1st at www.riversidefoundation.ca/5050 at a cost of 5 for $5, 20 for $10 or our best deal, 100 for $20. If you prefer to purchase offline, please call the Foundation Office at 274-4803 to make arrangements.

A $500 early bird draw sponsored by West End Motors and Gillons’ Insurance will take place Friday, July 16th at 11:00am. Ticket sales for the jackpot close Thursday, July 29th at 9:00pm with the draw taking place Friday, July 30th at 11:00 am.

All proceeds for the monthly 50/50 raffle will be supporting the Foundation’s upcoming capital campaign “Picture This”, which will be raising funds for new diagnostic imaging equipment.

Thank you to West End Motors and Gillons’ Insurance for sponsoring the Early Bird prize of $500, and thank you to all the supporters of the raffle.
