Doug Agar of Fort Frances, ON Wins $15,605!

Riverside Foundation for Health Care is excited to announce that the winner of the July Riverside 50/50 electronic raffle is Doug Agar of Fort Frances, ON with the winning ticket number J-6593728. Agar takes home $15,605, with the same amount going to the Foundation. The draw was made Friday, July 30^th at 11:00am in the Foundation Office.

‘Well you just made my day!’ Agar exclaimed with screams being heard in the background when he was told the he was this month’s winner. A lifelong resident of Fort Frances, Agar said he began purchasing tickets in March. He purchased tickets for a neighbouring draw first and after doing so learned of the Riverside draw and figured he better support his own district. Although he joked that his family would love for him to buy a pontoon boat, he has no immediate plans on what he is going to do with his winnings.

Since November, the Foundation has given away over $200,000 in 50/50 prize winnings. That means over $200,000 has also gone to the Foundation for the purchase of medical equipment. Tickets for the August raffle are now on sale at www.riversidefoundation.ca/5050  at a cost of 5 for $5, 20 for $10 or our best deal, 100 for $20. A $500 early bird draw sponsored by West End Motors and Gillons’ Insurance will take place Friday, August 13^th at 11:00am. Ticket sales for the jackpot close Monday, August 30^th at 9:00pm with the draw taking place Tuesday, August 31^st at 11:00 am.

All proceeds for the monthly 50/50 raffle will be supporting ‘Picture This’, a $1.5 million dollar capital campaign which will be raising funds for new diagnostic imaging equipment.
