Kim Humphrey of Fort Frances, ON Wins $14,495!

Riverside Foundation for Health Care is excited to announce that the winner of the September Riverside 50/50 electronic raffle is Kim Humphrey of Fort Frances, ON with the winning ticket number L-1399943. Humphrey takes home $14,495, with the same amount going to the Foundation. The draw was made Thursday, September 30th at 11:00am in the Foundation Office.

Humphrey, who is employed for Riverside Health Care Facilities as a COVID screener at La Verendrye General Hospital has been purchasing his tickets on the first day of ticket sales for months. September was no exception and he purchased in person just hours after sales opened. With the Foundation office being located directly behind the COVID screeners, Humphrey has been present for each months draw and Foundation Director Allison Cox has gotten into a routine of jokingly apologising to him each month for not drawing his number. She couldn’t contain her excitement when she saw his name pop up on the computer screen this month and shouted ‘Kim, you won!’ to which he immediately replied ‘Don’t joke about things like that!’ After the initial shock wore off Humphrey said that he is in need of some new wheels so may put the winnings towards that. He also stated that he will continue to purchase tickets each month and already put his money aside for first day of October sales.

All proceeds from the monthly 50/50 raffles will be supporting the $1.5 million dollar capital campaign, ‘Picture This’ for new diagnostic imaging equipment. Tickets for the Ocotber raffle are on sale October 1st at www.riversidefoundation.ca/5050  at a cost of 5 for $5, 20 for $10 or our best deal, 100 for $20. If you prefer to purchase offline, please call the Foundation Office at 274-4803 to make arrangements.

A $500 early bird draw sponsored by West End Motors and Gillons’ Insurance will take place Friday, October 15th at 11:00am. Ticket sales for the jackpot close Thursday, October 28th at 9:00pm with the draw taking place Friday, October 29th at 11:00 am.
